Alberta

TOGETHERALL

A free, online network that offers anonymous, peer-to-peer mental health support 24 hours a day, seven days a week. TOGETHERALL is free to all post-secondary students and those aged 16-29 in Nova Scotia, and all residents aged 16+ in Alberta. Members have access to clinically validated, self-guided mental health resources, including:

  • assessments

  • courses

  • self-help journaling

  • goal-setting tools

ACCESS MENTAL HEALTH

Access Mental Health offers information, advice and referrals to Alberta Health Services programs and other community resources. Access Mental Health is a non-urgent resource and is available during regular business hours.

Manitoba

 

KLINIC COMMUNITY HEALTH

Klinic offers 24/7 confidential counselling through their Crisis Line and Manitoba Suicide Prevention & Support Line. Klinic offers a wide range of education workshops and training programs, and aims to educate all members of the community about diversity, sexuality, mental health, substance abuse, dating violence, sexually transmitted infections and more.

Ontario

 

BOUNCEBACK

A free, guided self-help program that’s effective in helping people who are experiencing mild-to-moderate anxiety or depression, or may be feeling low, stressed, worried, irritable or angry. BounceBack provides access to workbooks, activities, videos, and a trained coach who can provide up to six telephone sessions.

CONNEX ONTARIO

Connex Ontario provides free and confidential health services information for people experiencing problems with alcohol and drugs, mental health and/or gambling. Available 24/7.

Atlantic

 

CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION (CMHA) - ATLANTIC CHAPTER

The CMHA is a non-profit organization that builds awareness about mental health and provides individuals dealing with mental health issues with advocacy, education, housing, counseling, and a variety of programs. Their Atlantic Chapter provides services in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland & Labrador. Whether you or a family member are dealing with substance abuse, mental health challenges, or even the loss of a loved one, CMHA can help with emotional support, life coaching, and programming, as well as referrals to other community resources.

HORIZON HEALTH NETWORK (HORIZON)

Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is the largest regional health authority in New Brunswick and the second-largest health authority in Atlantic Canada with expertise in diverse areas of health and community services. They offer a range of mental health counseling services and multidisciplinary programs for clients with substance misuse, harmful gambling, and mental health-related concerns. 

BRIDGE THE GAPP

Bridge the Gapp provides guidance and support for mental health and addictions in Newfoundland and Labrador. Easily accessible by a computer, or phone, clients can instantly access information that can provide advice, inspiration, assurance, or direction for finding additional support when they need it the most. Bridge the gapp also connects clients to an eight-week online self-management program and offers self-help resources, links to local services, and allows clients to share their personal stories.

Healthy Minds Canada works to improve the well-being of all Canadians by supporting research on mental health and mental health issues. 

WELLNESS TOGETHER

Wellness Together is a free Canada-wide initiative created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, funded by the federal government and available 24/7. Collaborating with many other organizations, it is a wellness-focused, ongoing resource available to all Canadians wherever they may be.

MESOTHELIOMA CENTER

Mesothelioma is a rare form of lung cancer. The Mesothelioma Center provides mental health resources to mesothelioma patients and their families.
