Digital Literacy

Riverdale Immigrant Women’s Centre is offering adult women a free one-to-one digital literacy mentorship program between November-March 2022. Participants are paired with a mentor from the same first language group, gender, and/or cultural background to make the experience as comfortable as possible.

The Digital Literacy mentorship program is offered over the course of an eight week period.

The Digital Literacy mentorship program covers:

● Setting up your technology & accessing the internet
● Using video calling platforms
● Using communication & social media platforms
● Fixing common computer problems
● Staying connected online with family and friends
● Accessing online government services
● Using virtual healthcare

Additionally, RIWC is also offering group support digital literacy classes that compliment what is learned during the one-on-one sessions.
